K. Lavergne

With a strong foundation in education and a passion for student growth, Mr. John Lavergne proudly joins Beau Chêne High School as Assistant Principal. His educational journey includes years of experience teaching at four different high schools, allowing him to gain diverse perspectives on student achievement, school culture, and instructional leadership. Most recently, he served as Assistant Principal at Mamou High School, where he strengthened his commitment to fostering academic excellence and a positive learning environment.

In addition to his role as an educator and administrator, Mr. Lavergne is well known in the world of high school powerlifting. He currently serves on the Executive Committee for the Louisiana High School Powerlifting Association and has built a legacy as a successful coach and mentor. Over the course of his career, his teams have captured 5 State Championship titles and 5 State Runner-Up titles. He has proudly guided over 100 student-athletes to the State Powerlifting Championships, instilling in them the values of discipline, perseverance, and leadership both on and off the platform.

Mr. Lavergne is honored to be a part of the Beau Chêne “TEAM” and looks forward to supporting students, staff, and the greater school community as they continue to thrive and achieve excellence.
